Research and development of solid three compositions for the production of hydrogen applicable

Abstract

The pyrotechnic basis of solid fuels of various compositions was studied with the aim of producing hydrogen in the mode of forced convection of combustion products. Potassium borohydride was used as fuel, and metal oxides and hydroxides as an oxidizing agent. For each case, the fuel formulation was tested with an optimal percentage of components. It was shown that of the metal oxides used as oxidizing agents – CuO, Fe2O3, MnO2, MoO3, MnO2 has the highest gas productivity. When Ni(OH)3, Al(OH)3, H3BO3 metal hydroxides are used as oxidizing agents, Ni(OH)3 can provide maximum gas production.
Key words: hydrogen, solid fuels, pyrotechnic base, metal oxides and hydroxides, gas production.
