Coordination numbers and the topology of crystalline hydrocarbons

Abstract

Different types of a coordination number in molecular crystals are discussed. Monosystem crystal structures of hydrocarbons are used as examples to investigate interrelationship between the parameter R of a Delanay system, coordination numbers, topology types, and intermolecular interaction energies.
Key words: coordination number, intermolecular interaction energy, crystallographic net, Voronoi-Dirichlet polyhedron.
