ABSTRACT. It was shown that the application of solutions of organic reagents stabilized with Triton X-100 in the systems of segmented-flow analysis with photometric detection shows much promise. The procedures developed for determining Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) with rubeanic acid; Co(II) 1-nitroso-2-naphthol; and Ag(I) with chlorohydroxysulfophenylazorhodanine are characterized by a high throughput. The effect of Triton X-100 on the characteristics of the flow-photometric determination of the metals was examined. It was found that an increase in the amount of Triton X-100 in solutions of reagents in the range 0.03 - 0.3% leads to an increase in the throughput, to a better precision, and, in the case of determining silver to an improvement of the selectivity.
