Synthesis of
fluorofullerenes in reaction with inorganic fluorides
Abstract
The studies of
fluorination reactions of C60 with the fluorides of some transition
metals were performed, as a result the appropriate conditions for the synthesis
of C60F36 and C60F18
fluorofullerenes were found. We present a review on the chemical
structure of some new fluorine derivatives of [60]fullerene that were produced
in the reaction with potassium hexafluoroplatinate and subsequently separated
by high pressure liquid chromatography.
