Spectrophotometric
determination of copper(II) in soil in the form of a pyrogallol red complex in
the presence of surfactants
Abstract
Abstract. The spectrophotometric method of quantitative
determination of copper(II) by reaction of complex formation with pyrogallol
red (in the presence of cation and non-ionic surfactants is proposed. Optimal
conditions for analysis have been determined. The method has been tested for
the determination of copper(II) in the soil extractor sample. The metrological
characteristics of the proposed methodology are evaluate: the detection limit
is 0.12 mg/kg, relative standard deviation – less than 0.05.
Key words: copper, xanthene dyes, surfactant, quantitative
analysis
