Development of Quartz Crystal Microbalance Immunosensors for the Flow
Injection Analysis of High- and Low-Molecular Weight Compounds
Abstract
Possibility of application of piezo-quartz resonators with the silver
electrodes for home-made immunosensors to flow injection analysis of high- and
low-molecular weight compounds was estimated. It was shown that high molecular
weight compounds could be directly detected by increasing of sensor’s mass in
the results of formation of immunocomplexes. The liner change of frequency of
biosensor from concentration of anti Rubella DNA antibody was in range
0.1-25 μg/mL. The low molecular weight haptens like cotinine (metabolite
of nicotine) could be also detected by developed immunosensor, but only by
competitive method. It was found, that concentration of cotinine in urea for
smokers and non-smokers are 4-6 and 0.5-0.7 mg/L, respectively.
